1. Service Description
Pinping is a mobile application for iOS that allows users to create location-based reminders on a map. The app uses iOS's geofencing infrastructure to send notifications when you approach a defined location.
2. Account and Registration
You need to create an account to use Pinping. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide at registration.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
- If you notice suspicious activity, report it immediately to support@pinping.app.
- Sharing an account with multiple people is not permitted.
3. Acceptable Use
You may only use Pinping for lawful purposes. The following uses are strictly prohibited:
- Using the app to track or surveil other people without their consent
- Reverse-engineering or attempting to extract the source code
- Attempting to circumvent the app's security mechanisms
- Reselling or sublicensing the app for commercial purposes
4. Location Permission and Notifications
Full functionality requires "Always" location permission and notification permission. You may choose not to grant these permissions, but some features may not work. Permissions can be changed at any time in your device settings.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Pinping app, its logo, design, and content belong to us. Downloading the app does not transfer these rights to you — it grants you a limited licence for personal use only.
6. Third-Party Services
Pinping uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase — authentication
- Google Maps SDK — map display
Use of these services is subject to each company's own terms of service and privacy policies.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Pinping is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for:
- Delayed or missed notifications (due to iOS system constraints)
- Inaccurate location triggering
- Indirect damages resulting from app errors
- Issues arising from third-party services
8. Service Changes and Termination
We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue Pinping without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. In the event of a dispute, Istanbul courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notification. The current terms are always available on this page.
